D E T A I L S :  ALARM

The function of the alarm can be divided into 4 parts:
- Peripherical: the alarm will sound as one of the doors, front bonnet or rear bootlid is incorrectly opened. Opening the boot with the key, may not activate the alarm.
- Volumetric: this could be an option in your country or even not available (i.e. Japan). This system will protect the interior of the car, even when hood is closed or put down. When activating the system, the Volumetric sensor (located between the seats, behind the T-bar) will get more sensitive during the first few minutes.
- Immobilizer: the engine is automatically immobilized when the car gets locked, when the key is removed from the startswitch and when the startswitch is turned to position '0' for more than 30 seconds and the drivers door has been opened.
- Superlock: all above functions are enabled and the doorpins will be disconected. This results in the inability to open the doors from the inside or the outside.

One press on the keyfob will activate the immobilizer, the peripherical alarm and volumetric alarm (indicators will flash one time) A second press within a short time period will activate the superlock mechanism (indicators will flash three times).

The car can be closed with key as well. Insert the key in the keylock at the side of the driver and turn it in the direction of the front of the car. Both doors will be locked, the immobilizer and peripherical alarm will be activated. The volumetric alarm isn't activated, so it's 'safe' to keep animals or children in the car. (although we don't really accept these things).

If the indicators don't flash when superlocking the car, check all doors, boot and bonnet. The volumetric alarm isn't activated 'till all components are properly closed.

It may sound silly, but the range of the keyfob can be increased when the blipper is pressed at the underside of your chin while pressing one of the knobs. You don't need to believe me, but give it a try and you'll be surprised.

Further increasing the range can be done by unwinding the antenna inside the car (located under the dashboard).

The alarm going of without a reason can be caused by many things, like there are: mobile phones in the car, microwave ovens nearby, cats looking for a place to sleep, ...

The alarm will sound for aprox. 30 seconds.
